This isn't an essay by any means- it may just be a few words strung together- but I have to say that what happened last night brought one monumental and unfortunately strange concept to the American consciousness, and hopefully to the world's beyond- HOPE! There are hard times ahead, no doubt, but I think this signals a turn for the better- it indubitably represents the opportunity for that turn to be made. While I'm happy for those of my generation, I'm happy for my daughter most of all. She's the one who pushed the "Obama/Biden" button for me, and I feel certain that years from now it will be a point of pride for her. It certainly already is for me.

I'm sure I'll add more to this later, but what else can I say at the moment? The morning after a presidential election I wake up and feel good?!? How odd and how nice. A person could grow to appreciate this state of being.
